Senior Cloud & Data Engineer working primarily on Azure Databricks. My day-to-day revolves around building and maintaining production-grade lakehouse architectures for enterprise clients - from legacy migrations and Medallion Architecture implementations to governance at scale and end-to-end CI/CD. I write about the layer of Databricks that rarely makes it into documentation: the architectural decisions, governance patterns, streaming subtleties, and failure modes that only surface in real engagements. My goal is to share what certifications do not teach, the judgment that only comes from production work. Tooling I work with daily: Azure Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Declarative Automation Bundles (formerly DABs), DLT, Structured Streaming, GitHub Actions, and Python/SQL across the stack.
