It's completely up to you. My first language was Python however it depends what kind of field you're looking to enter. In your position I would try both. Python is very beginner friendly, while so is JavaScript, but a little less so. There seems to be more and more applications online (on the web) so I would say JavaScript is more than ever in demand and you can't lose by learning it! Good luck on your programming journey!
