@maruru Def agree with the premise, that clear separation of concerns is the goal. And you may be right there exists a 2000+ line irreducible idea. But in practice, something like "Oh boy, 300 lines, time to think about splitting up this monstrosity with some smart pattern" is pretty much always correct, in my experience, lol. . .

"Some concerns need 2k+ lines." I can't imagine a problem for which that is true. I've seen a great deal of codefiles with that many lines, and every time it is littered with redundancy, completely ignores OO patterns, and basically looks like a giant C program with a bunch of functions that call each other. Even in C++ where a lot has to be done by hand, I've never agreed with that. I get that it is a matter of preference, but sheesh. . .I strive to keep most concerns to a screenfull of text per file.
