Claudette Cabahug

I started this blog as a budding developer hoping to breakthrough into a tech career before turning forty, and I am stoked to share that after all the countless hours of study, heart-crushing rejections, and almost-made-it-but-not-yet-there job application feedbacks, I have finally earned my place as a graduate developer at one of NZ's leading cloud-based accounting software companies. With my unique background and circumstances, finding a job did not come easy, and I realised I needed to continuously upskill if I were to accomplish the goals I have set for myself. To improve my problem solving skills, I engaged in daily coding challenges, which really helped me get better at approaching problems. I also discovered a newfound fascination for the cloud, and I have taken this further to study and get certified as a cloud practitioner. Through this blog, I hope to help others by sharing my favourite coding exercises and how I solved them, my ongoing journey as a cloud aficionado, as well as the challenging and exciting bits towards becoming a full-fledged developer -- before 40.
