At the end of the article she asked for our thoughts on that when she could've easily told us why 馃槀 I'll share mine though it may not be 100% accurate so I think that where we should be adviced on clearing a cache is when it is stored on the In memory or RAM. Though the eviction strategies may have their time of cache clearing but each item stored in the cache may take up a significant amount of memory space in the RAM and we should not forget that there are other tasks/applications that require space in the RAM too so if that space gets filled up the device tends to lag. That's why I think we need to clear it sometimes 馃槄
Brilliant article 馃憦 This clarified my view on caching and data storage 馃挭 Here on hashnode.dev, once writing a comment and you click on the x button to close the bar, when you come back to it you can continue from where you stopped writing even though you refresh the page. I think that is stored in my browsers cache 馃槑
