I built landingpages and static sites when I first started but more recently I have had roles as a Web Applications developer primarily working with backbone/underscore. I want to continue my career building web apps that consume some sort of service from a back end. My passion is in the front end space, I love to build UIs. Thank you for the Diagram I'm family with most of the things on it, I just need to master some of the weaker tools in my skill set. I agree with getting good at javascript, I can now confidently say that I am past the intermediate stage and tinkering on the expert front end of things. Either way getting a job has been quite a challenge since it took me a while to get started with certain JS frameworks, hence why I'm dedicating a lot of time to React.js these days.

Thank you for the insight, I agree there has been a lot of buzzwords thrown about. Unfortunately, many real software engineers are now being thrown into the front end space and making it vastly more competitive for Front End Developers. I'm going to work on my Jargon!
