Thanks! I think the gap has definitely gotten smaller in terms of capabilities. At this point, I don't think either framework is holding teams back. What still feels different to me is the philosophy behind them. React gives you more freedom to put your stack together, while Angular is still more opinionated and gives you a lot out of the box. Depending on the team and the project, either approach can be the better choice. That's probably why I tried to avoid saying one is "better" in the article. I've seen both work really well when they're used for the right reasons.

Early on, I always thought the goal was to build the next big SaaS product. These days, I find myself getting more excited about small tools that solve real problems. A simple automation that saves someone 30 minutes a day can end up being more valuable than a huge project that never gets finished.

Cloudstaff also helped put more attention on tech opportunities outside the usual Metro Manila focus. Lately, I’ve noticed more Cebu-based software companies gaining traction too, especially teams working on custom web development, scalable systems, and modern digital products like Spice Factory Philippines. The local tech industry across different regions really feels more active now compared to a few years ago.

Nice to see Spice Factory Philippines included here. I'm currently working there as a developer (although WFH setup), and it's honestly nice seeing Cebu's tech industry getting more recognition. There are a lot of talented people and growing software companies here that deserve more visibility. Great list!

Cost and design are usually the first things clients ask about, but in our experience the projects that go sideways almost always trace back to communication gaps or unclear expectations around post-launch.
