Very important point Shai Almog . During my first month at Red Hat, I volunteered to shadow our SRE teams although my role was very different and not required any SRE skills. The 2-week shadowing experience taught me a lot and gave me new perspectives that I could relate to my own work. A Shadowing program across other business units can do wonders for any software company.
