I agree with Renato.. But for me it's not about project size it's more about budget.. And Kudos for mentioning PHP. Version 7 is just amazing and with the right tools you can have a very high performance backend with a very low cost compared to Java. And regarding Javascript, managing complex projects can be difficult with vanilla javascript but using Typescript makes everything solid and there is nothing I can't see myself do in javascript these days.
