Go for it! I'd start at a local tech meetup. These are usually smaller and easier to get into. Just search e.g JS meetup [City]. Otherwise, tell me where are you based, maybe I can suggest some events. International is unlikely to accept without previous experience (still happens though!), unless it's a much smaller one that is looking for any international speaker to look fancier 😅
