Spaces is actually designed for high durability and uses a common data protection technique called erasure coding to distribute your data across multiple nodes in a Spaces cluster. Erasure coding protects your data against loss even if multiple nodes in the storage cluster become unavailable. So, with this architecture, there is actually no reason to backup your Space unless you wanted cross data center redundancy.
