What's the point in doing this? Regardless of what's in git, the credentials need revoked and git-ignored to prevent in the future. Removing from git history is some extra steps that doesn't really do anything.

Working mostly with AWS and GCP, I feel like GCP has a higher quality experience on average, just many less services to choose from. Also worth noting kubernetes support is probably better on GCP (and less expensive for small installations). An important note on AWS vs GCP, if you're serving custom applications Google Cloud Run is much nicer than Fargate GKE is much nicer than EKS I think GCP gets overlooked often simply because the others are bigger, but that doesn't mean they're a better option.
