Hit a wall though , Twilio's changed something on their end and I can't get a number provisioned directly on a free trial anymore to wire it in. Good question, and you framed it exactly right — it wasn't the model. The dominant cause was the first one: the pipeline waited for the full transcript before extraction even started. Nothing ran until the caller finished the sentence and the transcript was "done," so every downstream step (LLM reasoning, CRM write, voice synthesis) was queued behind that single wait, then behind each other too — pure serial chain. Worth admitting: I didn't land on that diagnosis cleanly. I made some logical and technical mistakes early on chasing the wrong fixes, went back to the docs to actually understand what was blocking what, and corrected course from there. Still refining it now, honestly — the multithreading + async WebSocket streams fix (extraction on partial/streaming transcript instead of the final one, reasoning/CRM-write/voice-synthesis running concurrently instead of chained) is what took it from 2-3 minutes to 3-10 seconds, but I don't think it's the last version of this pipeline. Agree it's the transferable part — one-request-per-field and a synchronous end-of-call write were minor compared to that first wait. If you're building something similar: instrument "time to first token of extraction," not just total latency. That's usually where the serial-wait hides.
