In my experience, the top performers will have a github activity graph that lights up. Usually multiple commits per day, or at least 2-3 per week. If someone is going an entire week or multiple weeks without any github activity, they either better be on PTO or be in a leadership/management position. Otherwise, I would have serious concerns about what they are doing (if anything) or how they are doing it.
