Have they gotten this working with Powershell? I do miss it as it was the closest thing to zsh I could find on Windows. I now use Conemu with Powershell and a few modules that mimic some of the cmder functionality.

I'm not sure what you mean by commiting suicide? At the most recent AngularConnect conference they talked about (and I think announced) ngUpgrade on moving from 1.4 to 2.0. There are also a bunch of articles talking about mixing angular 1.4 and 2.0.
