Thank you, I also hope 2024 is the year I thrive! I think the best thing to do is to niche out and find a specialist path with some certifications rather than to go for the general roles. Thank you for sharing this. My personal life is also a mess right now. My family have been either extremely supportive or extremely disrespectful lately. I’m grateful for my husband and daughter though so I can’t complain too much. I do feel like the job market will be turning the corner soon. I think that networking is the best way to get ahead of the curve. It’s almost like jumping the line so to speak.

I loved how in the interview she mentioned that she knew that she wasn’t going to get a job right away. These coding schools and boot camps paint a picture that is not even obtainable today. There are hardly anymore junior jobs, and nobody gets a job right out of bootcamp anymore.

I would have about 12-18 months depending on which course I select if I decide to get it. I have a bachelors with a minors right now. If I had a job with paid tuition I would have done it already. 😉 Marilia Henriquez

Hi Marillia, you seriously have me considering apply for my Masters degree in cyber security. I said I was done learning but I can actually get mine in about 18 months and it's so tempting. I'm also just getting started with Terraform. I'd love to hear more information about how you tackle that learning process in the future. ~ Best wishes.
