I'm a data platform engineer with 20+ years in production systems, now running Cordata, an independent consultancy in Budapest working with clients across the DACH region and wider EMEA.
I build in Rust, Python and React, microservices and pipelines, and React front-ends when a data product needs a face people actually use.
Everything I do is data-centric, and so is Cordata. I architect data platforms and then build them: pipelines that move and reshape data at scale, the services and APIs around them, governed access so the right people see the right columns, and lineage that traces a published number back to the work that produced it. Two decades of that inside large organisations before the consultancy — group-scale lakehouses, warehouse migrations, central data lakes in regulated industries — which is where I learned the part no architecture diagram shows: whether a platform survives depends as much on how the teams around it are organised as on how it's built.
