I'm also exited about Hashnode and its features! Hashnode is quite unique. But there are some drawbacks, i wasn't long on platform too but did some observation on its SEO, maybe you'll find beneficial to check it out https://dev.lifl.space/blog-seo-how-to-rank-my-blog-should-i-cross-post
Yep, It will definitely do better on devto, in case I was interested in just audience, I would probably just stick to devto. But Hashnode is unique in features so I'm trying my way here. In a worst-case traffic from devto might be so big that posting a link to my project there would perform better than all these efforts :) Would be nice to hear how your test goes. By the way, even just by mentioning devto you raised their domain rank, cause it got converted into the URL. And when mentioning hashnode we don't add com usually. They picked nice domain name:)
I can relate. There is so much everything out there. However often I find it useful to do a thorough research on topic before getting started, as in cases: I did something, then i found it wrapped in popular component / lib - so i just wasted tons of time I started using service / lib and faced the limitations stopping me It happened both personal and work-wise. But sure, this makes me hungry for research, having hundreds of bookmarks, and wasting time on that. Truth is somewhere in the middle i guess. The question here is how to stop yourself from doing excessive research.
