Quality Engineer / SDET with 12+ years in test architecture, automation, performance engineering and distributed systems. Working in fintech and digital assets.
About
I'm Mishal Alexander, a Software Engineer in Test with 12+ years of experience across quality engineering, test automation, backend/API testing and performance engineering.
I currently work on fintech and digital-asset systems involving APIs, GraphQL, Kafka, authentication, distributed workflows, CI/CD and performance testing.
I'm particularly interested in how complex software behaves as a system: where failures emerge across service boundaries, how to design useful automated tests, how systems behave under load, and how observability can shorten the path from failure to root cause.
I work with Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python and SQL alongside tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, REST Assured, Gatling, JMeter and k6.
This blog is where I document what I learn and discover around quality architecture, performance engineering, distributed systems, backend testing, AI-assisted engineering and occasionally fintech, blockchain and other technical systems I find worth understanding.
