I grew up in a small town in British Columbia, Canada, before moving to Victoria for University and then to the UK for a few years. I now work remotely from wherever I happen to be, which lately has been in various smaller towns around BC mixed with travels further afield.

I've worked for companies ranging from startups to some of the biggest software companies, using a broad range of languages and frameworks. I've done development for embedded processors using c, used high-level web frameworks for websites, and written backends in Java, PHP, JS/TS and even Dart. When I get to choose, I prefer to develop for frontend using Flutter.

Projects I've worked on have ranged from a mental health app to enterprise security software. I have a strong background in security & risk mitigation as well as cryptography, but my current focus is on user experience design.
