Thanks, Ted . I appreciate the support; I'm hoping not to put people off but to put the other side of the coin as you mentioned.

I sat down and rebuilt one of my sites with Astro and was delighted how quickly I could spin it up compared to other site builders. Overall for me it's all about removing the pain and getting to the content, Astro solved some problems I had to write a whole bunch of code for in the past, so that checked the big boxes for me.

Thanks for giving some good reasons to try this, it does indeed speed things up and keeps them simple. Thanks!

Thanks for posting this James, I have always considered journaling (and blogging) development as a way to share and hold yourself accountable for the progress you make. It also serves as a great reference when you know you did something before but do not remember the details, yay for search :)
