I've received the DEV.to newsletter for quite awhile now & this is the first time I've ever clicked thru to read one of the articles. 50-year old lifelong bartender who is (attempting) to learn Python & move into development. After a series of start-and-stop self-learning attempts, I purchased one of the more highly-regarded Python courses on Udemy. I've just surpassed the 14-day mark of a course intended to take 100 days (realistically, it'll take a bit longer than that). While I've been able to digest the course material easily so far, I've had this looming anxiety that I might waver once the course sections become deeper & more complex. Thanks to your article, those fears (at least for now), have been aleviated! I've bookmarked this article to refer back to any time that I might be skeptical of my ability to finish the course & ultimately move toward a career in programming. This was very well-written & seemed to get to the core of learning itself, not just learning development subjects. Thanks a ton! Robert
