Mozart Petter I decribed my learning experience with a Tarmac and then one-by-key approach as well why I dropped my layout (which was Colemak-like) and moved on to a fully optimized layout. Interesting series, looking forward to read about your further experience. I am in process to design my own layout and learn that. It's optimized for English and German as well: q w d f k y l o u p [ ] a s r t g ; n e i h ' z x c v b j m , . / I learn in two steps. The layout is close to qwertz, but pretty good optimized. Only 14 keys change and 2 change hands.
