Great article, Chris! Glad you brought the importance of alt text to the spotlight. As a rule of thumb when I write articles, I tend to write as if the image was never there. For example for complex images or graphs, I write exactly what the image depicts in bullet points and use the image as a visual aid for what I have written with a blank alt. This makes the image essentially just decorative. Thank you for writing this! 💙
