About
I'm Omondi Joel, a self-taught frontend developer based in Nairobi, Kenya. I build clean, functional web interfaces with a strong focus on usability, performance, and clean code.
I'm the co-founder of Gemio, a full-scale restaurant reservation platform, where I own all frontend development across three interfaces — admin dashboard, customer UI, and restaurant owner panel.
On this blog I write about frontend development, real client work, and lessons learned from building real products. I believe in understanding fundamentals deeply before reaching for frameworks, and I'm always pushing myself to create work that is both practical and meaningful.
