Monokai Pro is awesome. But not free :)

Depends on your use case. What application do you plan to create? My personal opinion is that Node.js is better, has better ecosystem and a bright future, while PHP seems to be considered a "legacy" language. But it does not change the fact that Node has its limitations and PHP is still very popular.

Good question. I'm new here, but I find hashnode to be much much more readable and simply better looking. It's to early to evaluate all the functionalities, but for the start, I prefer something that looks good, is easy to use and nice to read.
