The Director of Strategic Chaos By day: I’m an IT Director managing Cloud Data Platform Operations. My career has been a journey through the trenches of database administration and the high-level blueprints of data architecture. I build systems that are resilient, scalable, and—most importantly—operational. The rest of the time: I’m navigating the world through a non-linear, ADHD lens. I started DBADHD because I realized that the same hyperfocus that allows me to deconstruct a complex cloud migration at 2 AM is the same "glitch" that makes me forget why I walked into the kitchen. In the enterprise world, we talk a lot about "structured data," but some of the best strategic insights come from "unstructured" thinking. What I bring to the table: The DBA Soul: A deep-seated need for data integrity, ACID compliance, and query optimization. The Director Lens: A focus on FinOps, team leadership, governance, and the "why" behind the "how." The ADHD Feature: An ability to see patterns across disparate systems and a drive to find the most efficient (and dopamine-rich) path to a solution. Why I’m blogging: To provide a field manual for other tech leaders and data professionals who think differently. Whether I’m talking about Cloud Governance, Data Ops strategy, or how to survive a boardroom meeting with a brain that wants to SELECT * FROM SHIIIIIINY; my goal is to prove that neurodiversity isn't just a challenge—it’s a strategic advantage in the modern data stack.
