Honestly, you're not very likely to find one online. Locally you might be much better off, depending a bit on if you live in a large city. I'd honestly just try Facebook first. Ask friends and family. I wouldn't mention any payment, at least at first - most people who want money for things like that won't be the best mentors you could get. Finally, consider if there are any groups for developers around you. Women in development, women in Python, Swift developer groups - stuff like that. Not only might that be a help in finding a mentor, but they might actually be better than a mentor in many ways, especially in sharing experiences, since many is often better than one. Good luck!

I think if you're able to write good supportable software, you should be able to write quicky "holy crap what was this guy thinking" software, but if you're able to write the latter, you're not automatically able to write the former. In other words, hire good programmers, and tell them specifically what you want and how you want it. Think short order cooks - they'll make exactly what you want, but they need to know how you want it. (The Short Order Cook Law Of Software Design is definitely a book I should write...)

Age, stability, and "community standing". The last one is github stars, whether the project is hosted by Apache, Google or Joe Blow, repo activity and all the rest. Of course, what really matters is code quality, but who has the time to go through all the code. And any library can be swapped out. It's frameworks that are really important, and those decisions are usually harder to make...

Basically: 1: Make a controller targetting /invite/{uuid} 2: When creating an invite link, generate a UUID with the necessary info and place it in cold storage (redis, couchdb, postgres, whatever) 3: When /invite/{that-exact-uuid} gets hit, get the info and create the account. 4: Delete that-exact-uuid from cold storage, or mark it as "used" and return a quick message to that effect when hit again. Note that you probably won't need to make a controller targetting the actual UUID, just the /invite/ part. Then you grab the UUID by parsing the request path. API: http://expressjs.com/en/4x/api.html#path-examples This is called a "path variable", by the way. It would be easier to do with "request parameters", but it would be like one code line fewer in practice, and this looks better ;)
