Bahar Bayraktaroğlu

I am a PhD student at the Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies, with a primary focus on exploring the enslavement experiences of children and the practices of slave trading during the age of abolition in the Ottoman Empire. My research specifically centers around the examination of prominent individuals in Istanbul society who held enslaved children in their possession.
