I'm self-taught, having started my career working on an internal help desk (the only help desk tech at the time). With few points of escalation, I quickly became adept at solving problems with technologies that I had never worked with before. Eventually I worked my way into system administration, which in turn led me to DevOps.

At every step of my career, I turned to scripting to automate the boring stuff, reduce human error, and help me make the most of my time.
