I highly suggest to watch a video of Symfony 4 internals presented by Tobias Nyholm -> https://youtu.be/pz6VdH4_BSg It shows how Symfony become minimalist, even at a point where Sylex is not relevant anymore. It is true Symfony comes with some complexity you need to understand but the entry barier has been drastically reduced. It has never been easier to develop with this framework.
