Building platforms that don't break. Writing about the ones that almost did.
About
17+ years in production systems across fintech, payments, and enterprise platforms. This is where I document what actually works.
I write about Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, observability, chaos engineering, and operational resilience, grounded in real incidents, real trade-offs, and real metrics. No fluff, no toy examples.
I started in 2008 as a Linux and middleware administrator, before DevOps had a name. Since then I have watched the field move from system administration to DevOps, SRE, platform engineering and now AI. The tools keep changing. The principles of measuring, automating and learning from failure have not.
Most posts here connect to C.R.A.I.L.S., my home lab and open-source SRE toolkit, now being extended with local AI: LLM serving, AI observability and agent-based incident triage. github.com/warrator/crails
