You can very well use TypeScript without typing each of the variables or functions you use. I think it's really nice to have TypeScript in addition to a test suite. Like any tool, you have to set it up at the beginning, but then, it's paradise!

+1 for this feature. I write blog posts about React, and my JSX is very ugly! 😄 It would be wonderful if prefixing triple backticks (or triple tilde), like ```jsx , could be taken into account.

I sincerely believe that it's necessary to have a solid knowledge base before moving on to the next abstraction. You should know JS to learn React. You should know React to learn Gatsby/Next. Actually, you can spin up a Next.js project without having dived into React. But you might get stuck at some point.

It makes more sense in my head to tell it as a story, I'm very pleased that you felt the same way :)
