If you are constantly switching between Slack, Jira, and your terminal, you are killing your focus. Context switching is the biggest drain on developer productivity. Here is a routine that actually works for getting complex coding done:
The 90-minute block: Close everything except your IDE, terminal, and documentation. Commit to 90 minutes of uninterrupted focus on a single ticket.
The clean disconnect: When the 90 minutes are up, step away. Do not immediately open a new tab to scroll social media. Get some water or walk around for 15 minutes to let your brain reset.
Public accountability: Tell a colleague you will have a specific module drafted by lunch. The external deadline forces you to stop over-engineering and start shipping.
