Hi James, thanks for hosting the AMA. So glad to see you here. Would love to know your advice for someone who is starting up. Since there is so much content out there, it sometimes becomes overwhelming. Could you share some learning tips for folks to help them level up faster?

The best way to learn is to build stuff! Hands down, my biggest piece of advice. Build continuously. I also spent lots of time watching videos, reading articles, etc. I'm always learning. I use YouTube and Udemy as two of my two most used resources.

Find yourself a community whether it's in person, online, etc. Find people who you can talk to to ask questions, have conversations, etc. Also, find people that you can learn from! I personally use Twitter as my tie in to the online developer communities.

Like James said, focusing on building things
Think small -- try to solve little problems for yourself and celebrate those wins
Don't overthink it -- when you're starting out, the language/framework doesn't actually make that big of a difference other than whether you're using types and a compiler. Just focus on enjoying what you're learning, not doing something out of obligation or because it's "what the cool kids are doing."
Find someone to hold you accountable and encourage you!
