well simplicity does not implicate readability. f(x) = {x| x ∈ A and x ∉ B} this is rather simple but not everyone can read it. it's also about being able to express yourself :). simplicity also does not implicate clarity.
But I like the core idea behind it a lot, it's a nicely paraphrased common quote :).
