Any link to learn old stuff?

I'm pretty interested into how nowadays technologies function; I mean how do they evolved. I'm a curious person without answers

I would like to either learn or understand old stuff, starting from binary if its possible. And I don't accept is-not-necessary answers.

This course on programming (presented almost entirely on a blackboard) illuminated to me an entirely different way of thinking about programs. I can honestly say that I now write better javascript because I watched this series. Lisp may not be hip and all those parens can be a little jarring at first, but there is a beauty and a purity in the symbols and minimal syntax that will forever be comforting to me; those big cushy parens!

There's a difference between everything and everything about my profession. Just like doctors must study everything from the base untill nowadays discoveries, I want to know how things evolved in hardware and software development.

What is your profession then? You can't learn everything about IT.
