Hmm there are tons of nice tools out there, but unfortunately you cannot use everything, only the most suitable. Here is what i use with some explanation comments:
- SublimeText / Atom: SublimeText was my goto dev tool for some years but now i 've switched to Atom for Full Stack Development
- PHPStorm: For a couple of years i was working only with PHP and if you also do so try PHPStorm since it is the best tool i 've ever used for PHP coding
- Github / BitBucket: source control with Github for everything that can be shown to the world and BitBucket for my private repos since they are free of charge there
- Wunderlist / Trello: Wunderlist for my daily dev tasks and Trello for bigger projects which demand the cooperation of > 3 people so i can keep an eye on all of them easily
- Google Drive / Dropbox: Google Drive for shared folders / files among developers and Dropbox for personal / family files only
- Sketch: the best tool for web design out there
- Photoshop: for all those little things Sketch cannot deliver since it is 100% focused on web design and sometimes we simply need sth more
- Slack: for team's communication but this needs some smart usage since it can become quite fast a spam tool which will distract you most of the times
- Google Hangouts / Skype: for online meetings with other team members or clients of course
- Toggl: super useful tool so i can track my working hours for freelancing projects
- Spotify: for my music playlists in order to stay focused and relaxed all day long
