Blockchain is a series of certificates of summarised information tied together by an imaginary string, and each certificate on the string has a cryptogram that contains every certificate on the string that came before itself - anyone can put a certificate on the string, but no one can replace or modify a certificate that is already on the string; and everybody has equal ownership of the string.
