Great point on documentation. If I can’t figure out how to run your code or what problem it’s solving within 30 seconds of hitting the README, I’m moving to the next candidate.
A stellar README is just as important as the code itself. If a hiring manager can't understand what the project does or how to spin it up locally right away, they will simply close the tab.
