I also went from Bootstrap 3 to 4 since the first beta release. And pretty much like it so far. I think it's more straight forward and consistent compared to 3. Also like the more decent appearence of 4 and the flexbox based grid makes it so much easier.

That's what I am thinking about transitioning on the latest version of Bootstrap. I am not used yet or familiar so much with Flexbox-based grid. I am used to the 12-grid system of Bootstrap 3 before. Now, I am starting to get a solid grasp of CSS techniques to simplify coding and make it more efficient. But I will consider what you've mentioned about flexbox-based grid. I will give it a shot. It will be definitely a big learning curve.

It's still 12 column based, but it uses flexbox to accomplish this. Still it's very useful to know flexbox so you can put things like you want to very easily and with knowing flexbox many of the class-tags from bootstrap, to control things like position or alignment, are making so much more sense.
