Do you like Hashnode's new update?

Maybe I'm the only one, but I definitely liked the old interface better. I feel like it got more information to you more quickly. For example, a lot of the time when I would visit the site to check notifications, it would be something like "So-and-so started following you". Then I could simply glance down and look at my number of followers on the left. Now I have to navigate to another page to do that.

So what does everyone else think?

I've got conflicting opinions about that... on the graphic side I like it much more (except for the menu) because the older one was too similar to dev.to , on the "functional" side now I cannot sort posts (or maybe I cannot find it) before there was the option to sort based on recent, most "viewed", now this option is gone...

I actually dislike the graphics as well; everything seems bigger and clunkier. Some of it is nice, but other parts not so much.

And I'm not sure if this is what you were talking about, but I definitely think the icon should go on the left of the "Menu" text, rather than on the right.

The way the interface is organized, it feels like I'm a newcomer on every page. For example, on the discussions page, we have this text in a very prominent position (taking up a full quarter of the page):

"Participate in the discussions and build your developer profile on Hashnode. You can also ask questions anonymously, if you are too shy."

I could understand this being displayed to new users, but for people who already use the site, that's 25% of the screen wasted.
