@berkmann18 for similar reasons as @timhere in another comment on this thread. They have competitive features, I can self host the same platform that I'm using for public projects, the company is active in development communities, and actively takes part in creating features that users are requesting.
They seem like a company that I would enjoy working at and the if I were to set out to build my own git web client, it would be nearly identical, so it seems like the best fit for me.
