Typescript supports the basic react libraries.

Tricky are 3rd party libraries

but you should be aware that it's tricky if you're either not used to react or to typescript, the learning curve is steep :).

it's nice for bigger projects. Currently I'm working with typescript and flow for typing for different customers and different teams. atm I prefer Typescript over flow-type.

But if you partially integrate types on an existing codebase Flow-types is more flexible

j in what way are 3rd party libraries tricky to integrate? In older versions of TS you would need to install typings from DefinitelyTyped like you said, but as of TypeScript 2.1, you can know use any 3rd party JS libraries as you would without TS because of the new default implicityAny option in the tsconfig.json. Of course, it would be ideal to have type definitions for your code and any libraries you're using in order to get the most out of TypeScript during development; but this is no longer a requirement.

The one company I work for, they explicitly forbid non typed libraries I have to write the definitions and port the needed functionality.

No problem! Implicity any fefinitely makes TS much more usable in comparison to Flow, and with the significantly larger community and better tooling, TS is a no brainer against Flow.

Euri Alexander Ayala yes I prefer TSC over Flow if that's the case, the union types in flow just bug me and the flow server in the background spawning 5 threads bricks the dev machines of some of my colleagues :).

I will try to introduce tsc after this sprint :)
