Store GMT time in db. And make each and every time calculations in GMT. And change the GMT to local time. I had successfully done stuff like that.

how do you come to know in which GMT your application is being running

GMT is same every where. Lets assume we have +05:30 from GMT. So when front-end parse time in India It easily added +05:30 to GMT time that's it.

what do you mean by front end? are you talking about browser level or at node backend level?

Let's think about currency system. We make international transaction in USD. But 1 usd is equal to 65 INR. And at the same time 1 USD is equal 3.67 United Arab Emirates Dirham. So relate it with time all calculation must be in GMT like USD. and change it local time like INR. And you get exact result.
