2 days ago I published my first blog post on Hashnode devblog. However, when I search the exact blog title on Google, it does not appear on the search result. I did submit sitemap to Google Search Console
I republished the same article on Medium, the search result only show article from Medium
Hi Wei!
Hashnode blogs are already SEO friendly. We have taken care of all the best practices that result in faster and better indexing of your blog posts. If I understand your question, it's more about how long it takes Google to index a brand new website? Well, it may take up to 4 weeks for Google to crawl and index your website. Medium is an old website and has a higher domain authority compared to newly created websites. So, if you publish something there, it'll be indexed quickly. But once your website is indexed by Google, your subsequent posts will be indexed much faster. It's just that you will need to wait a bit before Google crawls and indexes your website for the first time. :)

Wei Lun Make sure to use medium's import tool, otherwise, you'll harm your website. Through their importer you get a canonical link which notifies crawlers that the content belongs not to Medium but to you.
Google trusts websites with the higher domain more. In your case, Google will think you're stealing content from Medium.
The best thing to do is wait for 2 weeks before republishing posts on other platforms, so that crawlers pick you up first.
