It's hard to say what potential employers will do. It will probably get your foot in the door but you'll still have to interview well. Workplaces often hire based on fundamental knowledge since you can learn frameworks and languages later. Sometimes they don't have the time or resources to train people and need someone who is experienced. Wordpress is pretty differet from react/node but it shows that you at least understand CMS, templating, and a bit of the backend stuff.
