Hey Team, Actually i m one of the user of your hashnode. I thought to participate hashnode daily referral contest today and there i noticed a very wired thing. There is a user name Anju Bala Khurana. This guy made an account today around 10pm - 10:10pm IST types. And within an hour he got 80 and still counting number of referrals. Being a developer myself. Its very odd, like how come an user can get 1 referral in a minute? There is some loop hole in the system - thats what i feel.

A few possibilities i can think of is, this person is using some sort of script to get referrals or he might be using some temp emails.

I feel that hashnode is one of the amazing community. You folks should test these kind of scenarios too. Or may adding a Zero Bounce email mechanism checker.

You should do something for a user who had added alot of effort in getting referals by talking to people and instead of following some malicious practices.
