Angular and React, both play well with Express/NodeJS. It is about what you are willing to do about it? I personally prefer AngularJS, because of Angular 2.0, but if you are not into TS, then you better go with React. In the end, it all boils down to what your preferences are, and what you are going to build?

Last time I checked, mean.io (and mean.js) is still on Angular 1.5.

Anyway, I agree with the decision boiling down to preference.

You can also go the Dart route if you're planning to use Angular2, it's actually much more user friendly than the typescript and javascript versions.

@seflorentino Yes, Mean stack is still on 1.x but that doesn't mean we cannot use Angular 2, isn't it?

@rajkumarpb Absolutely you can use Angular 2 for a mean stack implementation.

The point of my comment is to generate some discussion around whether or not the mean.io (mean.js) PROJECT supports Angular 2 in terms of their CLI tools, documentation and reference code.

@seflorentino Still a long way to implement Angular 2 in MEAN stack!! But I guess, not so far away! Because the way I see, Angular 2 is already creating enough buzz and I for one, a Java dev, will surely go for Angular 2 rather than other frameworks, because Angular 2 reminds me of Java and it would make me code in a language which I'm familiar with!
