There are a lot of photos, videos, etc. which are shared from different accounts (I am not talking about resharing a post/image/video. I am talking about sharing of the same image/video by different accounts independently) on Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc.

Are these same images/videos etc. stored separately on the servers? If yes, is this redundancy a problem? If yes, how big and what can we do about it?
